When it comes to making decisions (big or small), do you often find that you:
→ Spend a lot of your energy and time contemplating or researching your options?
→ Hesitate on committing to something because you’re not sure if you truly want to or if you’re getting swept away in the moment?
→ Put it off until a situation gets intolerable and then make reactive decisions?
What if you could simplify and streamline your decision-making by tuning into your most powerful source of information: your intuition, or as I call it,
YOUR INNER COMPASS.
Tuning into my inner compass has made the daily ins and outs of my life flow so much better. Whether it’s what I want to eat for dinner or if I want to go out or stay in.
It’s made it much easier to identify what I really want. Whether it’s where I want to live or what big goals I want to pursue.
Many of us are disconnected from this source of information because we’ve never been taught that we have an inner compass, let alone how to connect with it.
But we all have the ability to tap into it.
Have you noticed how you feel in your body when you’ve gotten a piece of news, during certain interactions with others, or when you’re experiencing a strong emotion?
In my 20s through my mid 30s, I’d often feel that something was off but I’d ignore those signals (because I couldn’t put my fingers on what it meant) and continue along my way.
Then the internal pressure would build…
And build…
Until I’d find myself in a situation that felt stagnant at best or no longer tolerable (many times adversely impacting my mental, physical and/or emotional health) at worst.
At which point, I’d make a reactive decision.
In some instances, I even made big decisions where I changed the things I loved because my situation just felt so overwhelmingly intolerable.
Looking back, perhaps you’ve experienced something like this too?
AN example of what ignoring My INNER COMPASS led to…
I ignored and pushed through the constant, low-level anxiety and nausea, the pressure in my chest & stomach, I experienced every time I stepped into a science lab in high-school and college (and I have a chemistry degree!).
Until I had a major panic attack at work in my first (and only) post-college science job, leading me to resign 6 weeks in - with no other job in sight.
But about 5 years ago, I learned to listen to what my inner compass was signaling. And by experimenting, decoding and developing the vocabulary for those signals and sensations, I could tease out what felt aligned and what aspects felt misaligned.
Without spiraling into overwhelm or analysis-paralysis.
By connecting to your inner compass, you have access to information that can help you more effectively discern what choices are a better fit for you.
You can experience more clarity and flow.
You can more easily embody your self-leadership.
Here’s what we’ll cover in the class…
I’ll walk you through my go-to exercises for you to explore, experiment and start learning this language for yourself. We’ll:
deepen your ability to notice the signals your intuition / inner compass is sharing with you
practice interpreting the signals with some fun, low-stakes decision-making contexts (we start small because it’s like strengthening a muscle!)
